Today’s emerging workforce is the largest and most diverse in American history. They number nearly 80 million, and will account for 50% of the workforce by 2020. Despite this many organizations fail to realize that fundamental differences exist in the ways young professionals and forbearers view the nature of employment, volunteerism, and philanthropy. This disconnect must be overcome if nonprofit organizations are to retain high-quality young talent, attract and maintain young professionals as volunteers, and eventually steward those volunteers to become the next generation of donors. This session will provide an in-depth discussion of key generational characteristics and strategies for better retaining and cultivating young professionals.

This is an offer to an organization that's wanting to start a planned giving program with a mentor available 20 hours/week for one year.
The stipend would be very modest.
The mentor is a proven planned giving specialist for a fraction of what it would cost to hire someone to do planned giving.
There is also a possibility to mentor an organization's Development Director during this year so that he/she could continue with planned giving.
